![]() Each year, the Society of State Directors of Health, Physical Education and Recreation bestows its highest award to a fellow Society member in recognition of outstanding leadership in the field of school health and physical education. The Simon A. McNeely Honor Award is dedicated to the name and memory of our long time Executive Director and friend, Simon A. McNeely. The life of Simon McNeely will forever stand as a beacon for those willing to commit themselves to national leadership. There are many Society members who are deserving of this very special recognition.
