Executive Director Job Expectations and Qualifications
The Executive Director (ED) will report to the Board of Directors and will have responsibility for overall strategic and operational functioning of the Society. The Executive Director shall be selected by the Board of Directors and will serve on an at-will basis.
The ED will champion the Society values and purpose. The person will have leadership experience and general understanding of Board operations, bylaws, organizational operating procedures, and how to maintain the integrity of processes necessary for growth and sustainability of the organization.
This position will require approximately 10 hours / week with the understanding there will be some variability. The ED will collaborate with the Executive Committee to determine a schedule. The position will be assessed on an annual basis and continuation is contingent upon performance and funding.
This position is a remote position, though there will be some travel required for in-person annual and partner meetings.
An annual stipend of $10,000 will be provided. There are designated funds in the annual budget for office and travel expenses.
