Event Details
This is the second session in a two-part series brought to you by the American School Health Association and The Society of State Leaders of Health and Physical Education. The session will open 30-minutes early so individuals can get settled before the session starts.
Presented by: Marc A. Brackett, Ph.D. Emotions influence learning, decision making, relationships, physical and mental health, creativity, and performance. But it’s our wise use of emotion that’s especially important. In this keynote, Dr. Brackett will (1) describe recent large-scale studies on the emotional lives of children and educators, (2) share his Center’s model of emotional intelligence, (3) describe RULER, the systemic, evidence-based approach to social and emotional learning developed at Yale that has been adopted by nearly 3,000 schools across the U.S. and globe, and (4) teach participants tools to develop emotional intelligence to enhance personal and professional success. During the session, participants will be told how to register for CHES/MCHES recertification points.
